Join Joseph Warren as he interviews practicing Catholics, non-Catholics and “recovering” Catholics about why the world ISN’T working right now----- and tackles unspeakable topics that many people secretly struggle with but won’t admit (plus encouraging stories to lift you out of the dirt and put you back on your feet).
Joseph’s a “broken” Catholic and former ATHEIST, and freely shares his sometimes humiliating struggles of being a modern Catholic man. It’s freakin hard! He doesn’t have it all figured out, he’s a work in progress just like YOU, and that’s okay.
You DON'T have to be Catholic, or even a Christian, to appreciate the wisdom and raw human emotion this show provides.
"Joseph, I was milling around podcasts last night looking for something new to listen to after just finishing some murder mystery’s; I felt the need to find something positive and uplifting. I came across Broken Catholic and chose to start with the September 7th episode: Do I Trust God When Disaster Happens? I am not sure why I chose that episode to begin with, but I think I was expecting one of those Cosmopolitan Quizzes where you would ask surface level questions and I would have to add up the number of times I answered A B and C. --I was skeptical to say the least. As a Cradle Catholic I honestly wasn’t expecting to get much out of your show, but boy was I wrong. It sounds silly to say, but I’ve always questioned what it looks and feels like to trust in Him. Listening to you and Connor talk about it I feel like I’ve learned more about myself and my faith than I have in all my Catholic practicing years. You really opened my eyes to what I should be working towards in regards my relationship with God. I really appreciate you making it a point to use the prospective of “being in the game,” not on the sidelines or in the stands, but “in the game” and what that looks like for you and Conner. I learn by watching and to get a visual of what it looks like to put my trust in God through your podcast has absolutely been a game changer for me. I am so excited to continue my journey with this new lens. Thank you for giving that to me!" - Dana, Oklahoma
